Synopsis

There are 23 small circles with a line connecting them to a centre circle, this represents AHCWA and their Member Services. All the elements in this piece gravitate toward the centre showing that AHCWA is the leader. Movement and depth are integral to the design as they symbolise the future. This can be seen in the inner rings as there is fluidity in the mark making and it is a tone darker. Bright colours were used to portray vibrancy in the community and white was used for balance.

About the Artist: Tyrown Waigana

Tyrown is an artist and designer living in Perth, Western Australia who is of both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent. Tyrown’s cultural heritage can be traced to the Noongar people of the South-West of Western Australia and Saibai Island in the Torres Strait. 

In 2020, Tyrown was the winner of the prestigious National NAIDOC poster competition for his winning entry “Shape of Land.”
